Exploration and Communication

Since the devastating event, you have had no communication with the outside world other than one group of survivors, who provided limited information other than to say they faced dangers on their travels. Members of the community are beginning to suggest that, with your society established, you have a responsibility to find ways of making contact with the outside world.

Do you agree with them? What are the reasons to take this risk? How might you proceed? How might you distribute responsibility for such a task?

If you decide to engage with the outside world, what, if any, do you think your relationship with it should be? You may wish to consider your right to abandoned property, to natural resources, and how you treat other communities you come across.
